I was a child of 2 years when I lost my father in an accident. I was supported and brought up by my mother and maternal uncle. Having lived a dependent life, I wanted to stand on my own feet after completing class 12. This goal was fuelled when my friend told me about Mahindra Pride Schools’ 90-day course to improve my job prospects. I joined the Hospitality Craft course and gained in-depth knowledge in Hospitality. The soft skills and computer literacy ensured that I sailed through the interviews and landed a job at Pizza Hut that paid me Rs. 11,000 per month.

I kept in touch with MPS even after I started working at Pizza Hut, this helped me gain an interview for a job abroad. I interviewed with the Landmark Group, over a Skype call and with my forthcoming attitude and strong aptitude, I was selected with a monthly salary of 2200 Dirhams (INR 40,000). My happiness truly knew no bounds and even today I feel indebted to Mahindra Pride School (MPS) for giving me the exposure, experience and opportunities. Today, I support my family. I realised early in my life that opportunity knocks the door of a dreamer who works hard and this belief has helped me defy fate and rise beyond the ordinary. Mahindra Pride School empowered me to look beyond my restraints and towards a world full of possibilities. It helped me gain not only the required skills, but the confidence I needed to stand on my feet and rise”. The journey to living a life of one’s dreams is not an easy one.
